OBSG SPECIAL SHOW IN TOKYO 2025
OBSG held a solo concert at WWWX in Shibuya, Tokyo.
The performance marked the first live showcase of their third full-length album “DOHWA,” released on the 30th of last month. With growing industry interest and an expanding fanbase in Japan, the group chose to unveil the new album live overseas before performing it in Korea.
The new album features eight tracks that reinterpret the alluring energy of dohwasal in a modern style. The title track “DOHWA,” inspired by the traditional folk song “Dohwa Taryeong,” captures a delicate blend of brilliance and melancholy, passion and pain.
Renowned for their distinctive sound across Asia and Europe, OBSG also presented special collaborative stages with local artists, including music and video producer Videotapemusic and Japanese folk singer and “visual performer” Nakanishi Lemon. Through a stage where Korean and Japanese tradition and modernity intertwined, the group opened new possibilities for Korean folk music.
In addition to the new songs, the setlist featured the widely beloved “Iyahongyahong,” the unreleased piece “Heungtaryeong,” and a rendition of Japan’s iconic song “Like the Flow of a River (川の流れのように).” The performance balanced festive energy with lyrical elegance.
With overwhelming charisma and a commanding stage presence, Lee Hee-moon and OBSG brought the concert to a triumphant close alongside a venue filled with enthusiastic fans.
